In the wee small hours of the morning

Insomnia is a recurring theme in my life, and in my writing. (Write what you know, and all that rot.) Today's column revists the weirdness of the wee hours, especially when you share them with your dog.

I'm a nightowl. Used to fight it by trying to go to bed at a decent hour. But now I embrace following my natural body clock. Of course I'm retired and my husband is unemployed so we're not missing anything by going to bed at 5 or 6 am, then sleeping to noon each day. It is amazing how much more I accomplish. GREAT story about you and your pooch in the wee small hours of the morning. Take care.

Inn of the Governors

The Inn of the Governors on West Alameda is where my maternal grandparents used to stay in the '60s and '70s when they'd visit ...
