In my old job as downtown business association director, I fought against graffiti and the, er, artists who created it. The problem was, they weren't really artists, just "taggers" who were interested in spraying their 'brand' on the sides of the tallest buildings around. They were kids, mostly, who had more risk-taking aptitude than artistic ability. Now, if they could have produced something like this, we'd have a whole 'nother situation.

Looking at this type of thing here at senior match leaves me in awe and inspired to pursue my own painting. I would ditch the taggers, of course, but when you're looking at some work like this, you can't help but be impressed. I have to admit that I'm a bit jealous of the talent.
