"Look out. The dame's packin'."

They say you should start packing as many days early as you plan to be gone. And, so it began this week. As today's column indicates, carrying baggage can be an expensive proposition.

I almost used the side-saddle line today. Freak-a-tosis!!! Men and packing! I barely survived back for six days away. I can't imagine two weeks. Bring all the shoes you can fit in there. That's my motto. Have fun. Jealous!!! But in a good way.

Seriously?! Wow. Freaky-deaky is right! I'll have to take at least 4 pairs, including the ones I'll wear on the plane. Your trip looked like a blast. (I'm not leaving for 2 weeks. I'm just milking the anticipation part.)

A friend sent me a list of "Idle Thoughts" and the side-saddle line was one of them. I was about to use it, since my brain is mush, but then thought of the DVR thing. Still, freaky, man. xxx Take me with you! I lived in England, doncha know. You need me...

I was surprised at how many people (at my Rotary Club) commented on my column. Seems the shoe thing is a universal marital conundrum. Four pair seems to be the accepted number, with most men conceding. Good to know...
