Remembering John Lennon

He wasn't my favorite Beatle.  That dubious honor went to George Harrison.  But John Lennon was a creative genius whose music continues to move me and countless others of my generation and beyond.
He died the day before my 25th birthday, 29 years ago today, killed by a disturbed fan outside of his New York City home.   He would have been 69.  One can only imagine the music he'd be writing now.

Actually it wasn't 19 years ago, it was 29 years ago. And it still feels like only yesterday. John, we miss you!

You're so right, Phyllis. Thanks. I made the change. (Math was never my strong suit.) It does feel like yesterday. What a bad day it was.

Thanks for the b'day wishes, Carol.
