My 'toast' loss is your 'toast' gain: A giveaway!!

The officials at "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" have offered me - and one of you - an exciting consolation prize because my "Welsh Rarebit: Kansas Style" did not make the cut for the "toast off" in New York City. It's a prize package including an I Can't Believe It's Not Butter VIP coupon, a KitchenAid 2-slice toaster, ceramic serving basket (to keep your baked goods warm at the table), 4 clamp-top spice herb jars and toast tongs (something I didn't even know existed.) All you have to do is leave a comment below explaining how you like your toast (no recipe required).  I will put all the entries into a hat and choose one. If you don't want to leave a comment online, simply email your comment to cathy@boomergirl.com.  (Note: The drawing will be totally random and I will be blindfolded.) The winner will be announced right here on July 6th. Good luck!

I like my toast golden brown and still a bit warm with real butter and a touch of honey. And a cup of cocoa on the side wouldn't hurt, either. <3

I like my toast lightly toasted with real butter all nice and melted in.
Love that you're sharing the gifts you received--just like the old times when you had your drawings!

Homemade bread toasted golden brown, butter all melted in, and maybe some cinnamon sugar. Thanks for offering a fun giveaway!

Now that I'm low carbing, my toast is made with a high protein, low carb fiber bread. I like it toasted with a slice of cheese. Yum. Thanks BG!

Multi-grain bread with lots of
seeds (preferably from Great
Harvest on Vermont), unsalted
butter and raspberry jam from
Harry & David. Add a cup of
hot tea w/cream & sugar and
breakfast is served!

Thickly sliced sourdough from a local French bakery. Slather that golden toasty goodness with butter and cinnamon sugar or withhold the butter slather with either strawberry or blueberry jam. This same bread, toasted, makes a divine foundation for BLTs when the tomatoes are ripe, juicy warm from the vine.

I like my toast on the "light" side, not too dark brown. And unsalted butter on it. Of course chunky peanut butter and raspberry jam are nice too, but sometimes I like it w. just the butter.

I love to mix it up when I have my toast. One piece slathered with I can't believe it's not butter spread and then lovingly layered with a coat of chunky peanut butter on top. The other piece would also begin with my butter spread but either be topped with a light layer of 1/2 sugar Smucker's fruit jams or a thin coat of honey. Thanks for the opportunity Cathy. Laurie

Cinnamon and sugar, baby! The thicker the better, but you know...I use whole wheat bread!

I like my toast hot enough to melt butter but not crispy or brown. I didn't know clamp-top herb jars existed, either. Or toast tongs, LOL! (I've been burning my fingers all my life!)
