Why dogs freak out and coal miners don't

   Those are the themes, respectively, of Sunday's feature story and my column this week. 
   The only thing left to do is to express my intense excitement, joy and sadness over tonight's "Mad Men" finale.  The teaser on the AMC website for this hotly anticipated episode merely says, "Opportunity arises for Don and Peggy." I'm agog, I tell you! All agog!!!
