I love your blog. It is short, sweet, funny, informative and more. But, I see you are a marketing consultant, well, something has been bugging me for a while, and you may be just the person to tackle the problem. Why are so many of today's products so hard to open, or is it just me? Just this morning, tried to open a new pack of gum, now they make them flat rather than in a stacked pack, it was hard to find the trip string on the cellophane and even when I pulled it, it did not come off easily. This is just one example. For a while, I wanted to video myself trying to open jars, boxes, electronics etc. I have to use knives to crack or cut through the packaging. Anyway, love your blog, take care, m

Hi, m. I completely agree. It seems manufacturers are more concerns with product tampering and/or shoplifting than consumer convenience. That's why I appreciate iTunes - you can download music with three clicks, and no annoying shrink wrap to peel from the CD! And don't get me started on those vacuum-sealed molded plastic packages that scissors and such come in! One time, I had to use a dull pair of children's scissors to open a scissors package. It took fifteen minutes! You are certainly not alone. Thanks for reading my humble blog.
