My column today explains why I'll be spending a good portion of the day in my sweltering attic, boxing up trash I hope will become someone else's treasure. The good news is, I'll probably lose ten pounds of water weight in the process.

It sounds like you will have a good sale. Gadgets galore! Love the early callers you get at a Lawrence garage sale. Brooklyn's are totally lame in comparison.
I'm lazy. I take my "stuff" to the church thrift shop and take the tax deduction. My sanity is worth more than $400 — or at least it was, back when I had it. Good luck!
I took all my old clothes to the thrift shop, plus a couple carloads of other stuff. But this is an attic full...hopefully worth as much as a new double oven!
