Who cares what the reason is. It is nice to cuddle. It brings you close to that person you love and provides you with feelings of security, comfort, and bliss. I am all for it.
Agreed, Annie. I'm all for it, too. But I think lots of women are content as can be to JUST cuddle. Men, not so much.
Totally agree, Cathy! Often, cuddling for guys=prelude to -um- "lower" cuddling. And that's not to say I'm not all for it--just sometimes cuddling is all I want!

Now this is how to cuddle. Generally, I agree with all of you on cuddling.
A) I love that a conversation about cuddling has ensued. (Let's go to the next level and discuss spooning next week.)
B) That video reminds me of my husband and our dog. I keep saying, "I like to be scratched behind my ears, too" but it does no good.
