Stupid is....
My column today is about dumbness. Not as in 'speech-impaired'. As in, the kind of mind-boggling idiocy that renders a middle-aged woman helpless and humiliated.
I feel as if you plagiarized my life with this column. The fact that people my whole life have told me I am smart makes me feel even dumber when I walk into glass doors or attempt to do things that normal people find easy (as in algebra).
My success bar is low: college degree, not in prison, pays taxes. Yay. All the rest is gravy.
I loved this column! Too funny, reading it over lunch, you almost got the iced tea out my nose. I'm going to have to remember not to eat or drink while reading your column! Yeah, I'll remember that right after remembering not to push on the pull door!

I'm right there with you, BG. I burn myself every time I cook. Rather than stupid, let's give ourselves a gentler label: "a little distracted."
Loved this column!!!
Thanks, CSS. I'm not sure how much longer I can use "distracted" as an excuse. But, yes, let's!
