Not now, Sesame Street's on!
To write a great children's book, you have to let your mind find its inner child again - embrace that child - then write from her perspective. That's been embarrassingly easy for me to do these past few weeks. I'm sleeping with stuffed animals, bathing with rubber duckies and have developed a totally major crush on Cookie Monster. (Again.) The worst part? My kids forbid me to sit on Santa's lap. 'Said I'd look like some crazy unemployed lady asking for hand-outs...
