Who needs the Tour de France?

    We've got our own big-time cycling event right here in Lawrence.  All weekend long, lean muscular men in Spandex shorts have been wheeling through town, many on my own street.  This was the scene Friday night downtown during the sprint event.  (Here's a great photo gallery with more of the action.) If the weather holds (and a flood warning indicates it won't, unfortunately), the events continue, followed by a party in the park and fireworks display.
