All that was missing was George

As friends email and call with condolences (thank you, dear ones), asking how it all went down, I tell them, "It was a lot like 'Up in the Air' except that I didn't cuss or cry." There were differences, of course - the big one being no one in the room looked remotely like George Clooney, which surely would have cushioned the blow.
