How lovely are her branches, bejeweled with my mother-in-law's vast collection of larger-than-life costume jewelry? Earrings, to be exact. Around a hundred pair of them. We delivered this tree to her yesterday in the nursing home, and she was thrilled.

Genius! Stealing idea for my Hanukkah bush!
I did the same thing when I was young in a small apartment with no money. I did not have clip-ons but I managed to get the earrings on the lil tree with hooks and such.
jpw - that's a great idea for all those single earrings everyone has. The ones we don't want to throw away because we're SURE we'll find the mate someday.
